Spring Valley / Sping Valley, great course with Pro Shop
« on: July 27, 2010, 03:17:12 PM »
If you have never played Spring Valley, its worth the drive. Its a great , privately owned course, that has a very well stocked Pro Shop , that is open 7 days a week. They have discs that you can\'t find at Academy.

Since it is private, it does cost to play, but its only $3.50. Plus, they also sell sodas, water , and snacks.

This course is not for beginners, but if you have been playing for at least 6 months or more, give Spring Valley a try.

Other Courses / Basket is back at Bear Branch
« on: June 02, 2008, 01:24:12 AM »
The #7 basket that was stolen at Bear Branch has not been re-installed. The course is now complete again. If you have not had a chance to play this great course, come on out. Its very dry right now, with the lack of rain we have had.

For those of you visiting North Houston, check out Bear Branch. Its off of Research Drive in the Woodlands. Its called the Bear Branch Sports Complex across the street from Bear Branch Park.  Also a great course for Novice players.

Questions & Comments / No Permit for Kingwood Course
« on: April 12, 2008, 07:56:28 AM »
The map says you have to have a \"Parking Permit\" for the Kingwood course. That is only if you are towing a boat trailer. If you are playing the course you are OK. I have played this course 25 times with no problems.

Questions & Comments / Lost Disc at Agnes Moffit Park
« on: July 23, 2007, 05:39:06 PM »
My brother lost a white Cheetah on hole number 9 about half way to the basket. Really wet and muddy and we lost it in the water under the tree. If you see it please call me. The number should be on the disc.

I tried to play at Crenshaw park yesterday . Holes 1 - 4 not bad, but a little muddy because of all the rain. The baskets for 5 and 6 are gone and the area is very over grown. Lost one disc in the grass, and took my 30 minutes to find it. My friend lost a \"roadrunner\" in the same area and we never found it. It looks like it was a nice course at one time, because it has great signage and the tees were well marked, but the course is very overgrown with missing baskets. Don\'t waste your time going down there like I did. Sad. Looked like a nice short course.
